Employees of A & A Crane Inc. Join the BUC

Oct 24, 2014 | BUC News

Concord, ON – Employees of A & A Crane Inc. joined the BUC and unanimously ratified their first Collective Agreement.

The two-year contract includes 13% wage increases which make these employees among the highest paid crane operators in the Ontario construction industry. Other highlights include a comprehensive, Employer paid Health Benefits Plan, Defined Contribution Pension Plan and paid over-time at the rate of double the hourly rate for all hours worked after 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, all work performed on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

“The negotiations went very well and everyone is pleased with the results” says Stephen Bromell, Secretary Treasurer of the BUC. “Although the hourly wage rate is amongst the highest for this classification of employees in construction we still managed to keep the total burden to the Employer below other Trade Unions so the Employer will be competitive and keep our Members working. This is a real win-win situation for everyone involved.”
