February 20, 2019 – Concord, ON – Employees of Morriston Mechanical Consultants & Technicians Inc. unanimously ratified their first Collective Agreement with the BUC. This first Agreement includes Employer contributions of four percent of gross earnings into the BUC Pension Plan, Employer paid Health Benefits Plan, $200.00/year boot allowance, and a total monetary package increases of almost 27% over the three year Agreement.
Morriston directly employs Journeyman Electricians, Plumbers, Gasfitters, Sheetmetal, Welders and Refrigeration Mechanics and all Apprentices who perform work in all sectors of construction in Ontario. “We appreciate the trust these employees have placed in the BUC.” states Tony Cordeiro, Business Representative of the BUC. “Even though the total package increase is quite high, our Agreement still allows Morriston to be very productive in a highly competitive market.”
