June 22nd, 2020 – Kingston, ON – Employees of Podium Development Corp unanimously ratified their first Collective Agreement with the BUC. This first Agreement includes Employer contributions of four dollars per hour into the BUC Pension Plan, Employer paid Health Benefits Plan, and an hourly wage increases of over 12%.
Podium directly employs Labourers who perform work in all sectors of construction in Kingston, Ontario. “These employees showed overwhelming support for the BUC and we are excited to represent them. They have a bright future under our Collective Agreement and we won’t let them down.” states Stephen Bromell, Vice President/Secretary Treasurer of the BUC. Stephen went on to say “We are very excited about the productive partnership we will create with Podium Development Corp and their employees. This is a great opportunity for the BUC to expand their footprint in eastern Ontario. If construction workers haven’t heard of us out there, they will be made aware of the BUC’s outstanding representation very shortly.”
