As an organization, the Building Union of Canada’s message on systemic racism is clear. The BUC condemns all acts and manifestations of discrimination and systemic racism and will do everything in its power to fight against the many ugly forms which systemic racism takes in our society. The BUC is deeply committed to working with our BUC Employers, industry and union partners, community groups, politicians and our members to take real action to effect genuine and long lasting change. Our membership is a diverse and hard working group who are representative of our society as a whole. The BUC will work with our members to bring about greater education and understanding to make all of us more aware of what we can do to fight against systemic racism together.
