October 29, 2021 – Concord, ON – Employees of MDF Mechanical Ltd. ratified their Collective Agreement renewal with the BUC by 93%. This renewed Agreement includes a 44% increase in Pension contributions, 7.7% increase in hourly wage rate, improved travel benefit, new bereavement leave and improved Health Benefits This equals a total monetary increase of 11% percent over the next three years.
MDF directly employs Plumbers, Gasfitters, Sheetmetal workers, Welders, Refrigeration Mechanics, Labourers and Apprentices who perform work in all sectors of construction in Ontario. “This new Agreement is a win, win, win for the Members, the Union and the Employer” says Tony Cordeiro, Field Representative of the BUC. “We were very pleased with how well the negotiations went and the trust and support the membership gave us.”
