November 12TH , 2021 – Concord, ON – Employees of Gem-Tec Group Inc. unanimously ratified their Collective Agreement renewal with the BUC. This renewed Agreement includes a 40% increase in Pension contributions, 12% increase in hourly wage rate, new bereavement leave and parental leave language. This equals a total monetary increase of over 13.6% percent over the next three years.
Gem-Tec directly employs Electricians and Apprentices who perform work in all sectors of construction in Ontario. “Our Members gave us a mandate and through our Partnership approach we successfully achieved that mandate.” says Anthony Iannuzzi, Field Representative of the BUC. “We are grateful to the Members who, overwhelmingly, supported us and the new Agreement.”
