Monday, May 30, 2022 – Concord, ON – The Building Union of Canada (BUC) filed a raid application during the most recent open period in 2022 for the employees who are employed by Eastern Ontario Terrazzo & Tile Company Limited and who were represented by BACU Local 10 in Kingston. These employees voted overwhelming in favour of the BUC by a vote count of over 92%. These highly skilled employees perform Tile and Terrazzo work in the ICI sector of the construction industry in Ontario.
Today, these same employees voted unanimously to accept their first Collective Agreement with the BUC. This new Collective Agreement includes a 14% increase on their hourly wage rate over the next three years.
