EMPLOYEES OF PODIUM DEVELOPMENT CORP RATIFY THEIR FIRST COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT

June 22nd, 2020 – Kingston, ON – Employees of Podium Development Corp unanimously ratified their first Collective Agreement with the BUC. This first Agreement includes Employer contributions of four dollars per hour into the BUC Pension Plan, Employer paid Health Benefits Plan, and an hourly wage increases of over 12%. THE BUILDING UNION OF CANADA: RE COVID 19 TESTING

This past week the executives at the BUC were informed that several of our members at a location in York Region had to be tested for the virus. Because some of our BUC staff were present at the time we decided as a precaution to get tested also. We attended the BRANSON MEDICAL CENTRE at Bathurst and Finch.  Everyone tested in the last week, including members and BUC staff tested negative, so we are all clear. As Premier Doug Ford recently announced, all construction work sites in Ontario are set to re-open tomorrow, Tuesday, May 19, 2020.
